Drawer Won't Open?

Ensure you are using the correct RJ11/RJ12 cable. A standard telephone cable looks the same but has different wiring (crossed vs. straight). You need a specific "Cash Drawer Cable".

Cutter Jam Fixed

If the blade gets stuck, do not pry it open. Open the front cover and look for a small thumb-wheel near the cutter mechanism. Rotate it to manually retract the blade safely.

Partial Cuts?

If the printer cuts but paper is still connected, your "Partial Cut" setting is on. For a full cut, check your driver settings under "Document Settings" > "Feed & Cut" > "Cut Operation".

How to use this test page

This POS (Point of Sale) Test Page simulates a complex retail transaction receipt. It simulates standard checkout elements like headers, barcodes, and item lists to verify your printer's alignment and driver configuration before you go live.

Troubleshooting Checklist

  • A
Garbage Characters: If you see "x?@#!" instead of text, your baud rate is mismatched.Serial (COM) printers default to 9600 or 115200 bps. Ensure your driver settings match the DIP switches on the bottom of the printer.
  • B
Barcode Unreadable: Scanner failing to beep?Thermal printers "bleed" ink. Ensure Bar Width Adjustment is set to -1 or -2 in your driver settings to thin out the bars for better readability.
  • C
Slow Printing: Driver vs. Native speed.Printing via web browser renders the receipt as an image. Real POS software sends text commands which print 10x faster. This is normal for browser tests.

Hardware Logic

  • Cash Drawer Checking:The drawer plugs into the printer (DK Port), not the PC. The printer sends a 24V pulse to open it. Check your driver's "Peripherals" tab to test the fire signal.
  • NV Bit Image:Logos print slow from the web. For production, upload your logo to the printer's NV RAM (Non-Volatile Memory) so it prints instantly from memory.
